A personalized, non-surgical treatment designed to support healthier-looking hair using platelet-rich plasma derived from your own blood.
Have you noticed increased shedding or thinning after rapid weight loss, during perimenopause or menopause, or at another point in your health journey? Hair loss can have many causes. Passage can evaluate your concerns and discuss whether platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, may be an appropriate part of your treatment plan.
Because nutrition, thyroid conditions, iron deficiency, medications, hormonal changes, genetics, stress, and other medical issues may contribute to hair loss, an evaluation is important before treatment.
PRP uses a small sample of your own blood. During your appointment, blood is drawn and processed in a centrifuge to concentrate platelets within the plasma. The prepared PRP is then injected into targeted areas of the scalp by a trained medical professional.
Platelets contain signaling proteins and growth factors involved in the body’s normal healing processes. When used for certain types of hair loss, PRP is intended to support existing hair follicles and the scalp environment
Your first visit is a provider consultation to evaluate your hair-loss pattern, health history, medications, nutrition, symptoms, and goals and determine whether PRP is appropriate.
If you choose to proceed, you return at the next available appointment. Your $75 consultation fee is credited toward the $550 first procedure, leaving $475 due. Blood is collected and processed during this appointment.
The PRP is injected into the areas of concern. Temporary tenderness, pinpoint bleeding, redness, swelling, or bruising may occur.
A typical Passage plan may include 3 to 4 treatments spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart, followed by reassessment. Maintenance recommendations vary.
Results are not immediate or guaranteed. Hair growth occurs gradually, and response depends on the cause and severity of hair loss, the activity of existing follicles, overall health, and other treatments.
Every patient begins with a focused consultation. From there, choose the path that best fits your care relationship and treatment goals.
The consultation fee is non-refundable. If you move forward, the $75 already paid is applied to the applicable $550 individual treatment or
$450 Preferred Patient treatment balance. For example, the remaining amount due is $475 at the standard rate or $375 at the Preferred Patient rate.
The initial provider consultation is $75. If you choose to proceed, that $75 is applied to the $550 cost of your first PRP procedure, leaving $475 due at the procedure appointment. Each additional treatment is $500. A three-treatment series totals $1,500; a four-treatment series totals $2,000, including the consultation credit.
No. The first visit is a consultation with the provider. If you decide to move forward and are an appropriate candidate, the procedure will be scheduled for the next available appointment.
Treatments are generally planned 6 to 8 weeks apart. Your provider may adjust the schedule based on your evaluation and response.
Rapid weight loss can trigger temporary shedding, but other factors may also be involved. PRP may be considered for selected patients after evaluation; it does not replace identifying and addressing nutrition, medical conditions, medications, or other causes.
Hair cycles take time. Changes, when they occur, are gradual and may take several months. Results vary, and no specific amount of regrowth can be guaranteed.
Many patients resume normal activities quickly. Temporary scalp tenderness, redness, swelling, bruising, pinpoint bleeding, or headache may occur. Your clinical team will provide preparation and aftercare instructions.
